Why our events are "Invite Only"

We get a lot inquires as to "why are your events invitation only?" There are many reasons but for the most part here are the answers.

We do "Invitation Only events" because first and for most we want to keep a force balance equal for our battles. We don't want to have too many on either side. Second the groups that attend our event are hand picked because we belive they have the same ideas and same approach  of how to reenact WWII.

Authenticity

Although authenticity is very high on our list to attend, we also feel very strongly that you  and your unit must posess the spirit cooperation even if you have the most authentic impression and wear all original equipment. Simply put if you don't follow the commanders instruction and you run to the sound of the battle you are considered by us to be a "Farb". We will overlook some of the strict authenticity guidelines for groups that want to be part of the event but the number one rule is to follow your orders. If you judge the event by how many rounds you shot then please don't attend our events. But do attend if you want to maneuver your troops, understand the command structure, and wish to be part of a new kind of reenacting.

Simply put we say "Stop playing army, and start acting like one"!

Most of the groups that do attend have developed a friendship with us for these many years. That these groups can recommend another unit to attend. We will consider allowing other units to attend if they come recommended and those who recommend them take the responsibility for them on and off the field. Once you've been invited we will always try to involve your group in our activities.

"Zero Tolerance"

There are consequences for unsafe actions.

Each Unit Commander will take the responsibility for their group. That is why we have all unit commanders sign an additional waiver of safety prior to the event. We will not, nor will allow, unsafe actions of any unit. That if a person does something that is unsafe and or causes another person any harm we will decide whether to band that person or group. We will take swift action with some people being banned from our events for a minimum of one year and some for life. That goes for all participants.

"New Direction"

We have been striving to bring new and unique events for the hobby. We have developed the 3 different kinds of events.

First: Living History. This kind of event is for you to bring out all of those items that would be not be brought to many battle type of events. Bring all of those little items and be prepared to speak about them to the public. Our display philosophy is simple to do a living display and not just what is normally seen “junk on a bunk”. Wear you gear, show your gear be the display as apposed to showing a display.

Second: Battles. We pick a specific timeframe and background for each battle we recreate. That if we are doing Russia 1941 or Battle of Bulge 1944 we asked that you adjust your uniform and gear to cover that particular time of the war. That each event we host will be as organized with both Allied and Axis commanded structure. Prior to the event the commanders will meet and develop a good battle plan for all to enjoy. This is where “Corporation” comes into play. The battle plans are develop and the only way the're successful is if each unit follows their operational orders within that plan. So once again it’s time to “Stop playing army and start acting like one”.

Third: Total Immersion: This kind of event is not for the weak of heart or physically impaired. The event generally runs from 24 hours to 36 hours depending on the battle. What you will come to understand is the long weary hours of patrolling, guard duty, lack of sleep then all of sudden adrenal rushes of combat. You will come to understand these hardships and begin to get a little understanding of “what it was like” after attending these types of events.

These types of events are for NOT ALL, but rather the few hardy individual units and members who would like to know what it was really like.

Please look over our event schedule.
